Brief Description of the Project:
The youth study was sponsored by the South Tyrolian state government. The Provincial Statistics Institute was responsible for co-ordination and supervision, while the study itself was conducted by an Italian-Austrian research team. The study provides a general picture of youth in South Tyrol. Similar to the study conducted in 1999, 1,500 boys and girls were asked about their attitudes towards family, love and sexuality, spare time, life plans, society, and politics. In addition, the current study also surveyed topics such as risk factors, drug consumption, violence, and risk propensity. The OeIJ analyzed the subject areas of "interaction with others", "culture and free time", and "attitude towards life and future plans".
